1. Order Processing

Upon receiving your order, our team records all details, whether online or in-store. We gather your design preferences, chosen metal (platinum or 18K gold), stone preferences (if applicable), size specifications, and any customisations. This comprehensive information kick-starts the crafting process, ensuring that every detail is accurately captured to create your unique engagement ring.

2. Design Creation

Your preferences drive the creation of a detailed CAD and 3D model.
Using advanced technology, we meticulously craft and refine the design
to match your vision. Any necessary adjustments are made to ensure the
final design perfectly embodies your style before moving to the next
stage of production.

3. Material Selection and Casting

  1. Once the design is finalised, we proceed with selecting the chosen metal – either platinum or 18K gold – to bring your ring to life. This selected material is carefully cast to form the foundational structure of your ring, initiating the physical creation process based on your preferences for metal type.

Using the CAD, a wax model of the ring's shank and collet is made, plastered over, and burned to produce a mould.

The melted metal is very carefully poured into your ring's mould and allowed to cool.

4. Mounting Assembly

With the foundation set, our expert artisans assemble the
ring mount. This involves intricately piecing together the components, ensuring that the structure is flawlessly prepared to accommodate the stone setting process. Every detail is managed to lay the groundwork for the placement of the stones in your ring.

5. Stone Setting

Our skilled craftsmen employ precise techniques to set the diamonds securely into the ring mount. Working under a microscope, each diamond is placed, ensuring both security and precision. The ring undergoes close refinement, guaranteeing that every stone is flawlessly positioned for maximum brilliance and durability.

6. Hallmarking

The completed ring undergoes independent hallmarking at the esteemed London Assay office. This hallmarking process attests to the ring's quality, verifying its authenticity and ensuring it meets the highest standards, adding an additional layer of trust and authenticity to your ring.

7. Final Polish

Post-hallmarking, the ring undergoes a final polish. This stage gives the metal its perfect lustre, ensuring that your ring gleams with brilliance, highlighting its exquisite craftsmanship and quality finish.

8. Quality Control and Notification

Our Production team conducts a final comprehensive quality control check. Once approved, you'll be promptly notified that your ring is ready for delivery or collection, assuring that every detail meets our exacting standards before it reaches you.

Mak & Co. stands out by crafting each ring to order, offering you the opportunity to be as engaged in the process as you desire. This personalised approach ensures your engagement ring is tailored precisely to your preferences and vision.
